With over fifteen years of dedicated service in social work, Gemma Harvey is the Manager at the NPY Women’s Council, building on a strong foundation of critical social work practice in remote settings. In this role, Gemma manages and leads projects and services that support children and families through advocacy and trauma-informed programs.

Her expertise in social work, combined with creativity, communication and interpersonal skills, enables her to lead with both innovation and empathy. At NPY Women’s Council, she is committed to fostering an environment that centres First Nations justice and self-determination. Passionate about dismantling systems that perpetuate harm and oppression, Gemma works every day toward rebuilding a safer, more just world.
