Connecting with Culture and Strengthening Communities
Join KARI, a leading community-led organisation in the space of Aboriginal Child Protection, for a day of learning, connecting, sharing and supporting one another to continue the important work you do in your communities. KARI provides a range of services in the areas of child and family, culture, education, sport, healthy lifestyle and more, all of which begin with meaningful community engagement.
The cultural workshop day will take you through an interactive and collaborative talk with KARI leaders who work with families every day to strengthen bonds, increase safety, support parents and build their parenting skills with culturally grounded care.
KARI believes that culture can drive change and embraces this through the KARI foundation. During the cultural workshop day, you will participate in one of KARI’s developed culture programs. Here you will enjoy the therapeutic act of creating whilst learning about aspects of local culture and gaining skills to pass on your newfound learnings as a tool for interacting and engaging with community members.
