Kirsty Maylin is the Director of Indigenous Operations Policy and Support at the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. In this role, she leads national initiatives to strengthen the court’s engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Kirsty’s work focuses on embedding culturally safe practices within the family law system, supporting Indigenous Family Liaison Officers, and ensuring the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families are heard in processes that profoundly affect them.
With a background in program management, policy development, and stakeholder engagement, Kirsty is committed to advancing systemic reform that builds trust, strengthens cultural safety, and delivers better outcomes for First Nations women, children, and families navigating the justice system.
