
Jacqualine Elwell
Family and Domestic Violence First Nations Advocate
Jacqualine Anne Elwell is an East Arrernte woman, Family and Domestic Violence First Nations Advocate, and emerging community leader living and working on Noongar Boodjah. A Project Advisor with the Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation (ILSC), Jacqualine works to support Indigenous Australians to secure Land and Sea rights across Western Australia.
Drawing on her lived experience, Jacqualine brings a powerful voice to conversations about systemic change, gender justice, and the urgent need for culturally informed and coordinated care for Aboriginal women and families. Her advocacy spans across issues of domestic and family violence, access to safe drinking water and healthy food in remote communities, and closing the gap in outcomes for Indigenous Australians.
Jacqualine has completed the Yorga Djenna Bidi Leadership Program with the WA Aboriginal Leadership Institute and represented Australia internationally, including commentary and mobile journalism roles at the 17th Pacific Games in the Solomon Islands and the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 in Meanjin (Brisbane).
Her story reflects the resilience and strength of Aboriginal women, showing how, with the right opportunities, they can heal, thrive, and flourish as mothers, leaders, and strong voices within their communities.
